Performers
What is performers?
Performers is a select group of talented dancers who have been invited to take part in dance festivals and competitions representing Nicky Jenks School of Dance in different competitions around the South West.
We have four different performers groups at NJSD. Our Junior team for dancers age 4-8. Our Inter team for dancers aged 9-12. Our Senior team for dancers aged 13-15 and finally our Advanced team for dancers 16 +.
Our performers dancers are trained in a diverse range of dance styles and are given as many opportunities to perform as possible. They take part in dance festivals and competitions around the South West each year competing in different competitions with solos, duets, trios and groups.
Performers is an invitation only group of children who are seen to be working hard, have a passion for dance and love performing. Teachers put forward students each year to be selected. Children must be actively taking part in classes to be a part of performers.
Many of our performers are aiming for a career in dance and this is the perfect training ground for them. Performers is not only a great foundation for a future in dance but its a great way for students to have fun, make friends in the dance world and make memories that last a life time!
