Our Pupil Successes
Many of our pupils have gone on to study and pursue a career in the performing arts.
We are immensely proud of their achievements and we enjoy hearing all about their endeavours.
Noah
Noah has been dancing at Nicky Jenks School of Dance since he was 4 years old. He soon joined their performers group which afforded him the opportunity to participate in festivals and regularly perform on stage. This performance experience has led to a plethora of opportunities, the most notable being cast as Gavroche in the UK & Ireland tour of Les Misérables for a 6 month stint.
Noah has successfully auditioned to be an associate dancer with the Royal Ballet School and has been training with them for the past 3 years on Saturdays currently in Covent Garden, London. He is also an associate with Morea Performing Art (Centre of Excellence) in Cheltenham and trains with them once a month.
Noah is a company dancer with Project Dance and is due to tour with them again this summer. Noah has also been offered a place at Tring Park School of Performing Arts for the last two consecutive years.
Lily Rain
Since joining NJSD, Lily Rain has been part of the Ballet Cymru Associates, Ballet Boost Associates, Taunton Young Dancers. In addition, she has taken part in dance festivals and competitions all round the south west, as well as pantomimes and musicals with Wellington arts association and other local amature companies.
Lily Rain studied at the SPACE, and has successfully gained a place Bird College.
Hattie
Hattie has been attending NJSD since the age of 2 and did her first competition at the age of 3. Hattie has gained distinction in every exam she has done.
Hattie is part of the Morea Associates Programme and is now in her 3rd year attending 10 full days of lessons annually.
Charlotte
Charlotte is currently in her third year of training at The Urdang Academy, currently rehearsing to perform in my third year musical ‘Anything Goes’!
Once graduating Charlotte is looking forward to beginning a professional career as a Dancer, Actress and Singer! A few of Charlotte’s career goals are to perform on the West End, as a backing dancer and to work in TV and Film as an actress!
Ella
After attending Nicky Jenks School of Dance, Ella went onto study at the Royal Academy of Dance on their ballet education degree program.
Ella is currently in her third year studying to train to be a ballet teacher. After her studies Ella plans to do a PGCE course to be able to train students in a secondary school environment.
